Todays harvest and a visitor

I got drenched today whilst picking my veggies but it was so worth it.

I also picked a lovely head of broccoli this morning and found this little beastie,

actually quite cute but I don't want him on my broccoli thank you very much.

Thrifty find

Look what I got at the thrift shop today : )

It needs a clean up and the black bits will be cream, so it's all in bits at the moment. I don't have a sewing box so this is just what I needed. I'm not sure weather to paint the whole thing cream or just the black bits, without the black bits the wood looks nice so I will have to have a think about it.

Also the Geranium on my kitchen window is in flower it's very pretty, my Nana always has a Geranium on her kitchen window and I felt the need to have one too.

May mini quilt swap

In May I signed up for my first ever mini quilt swap, I was so nervous about it I almost didn't sign up. I'm so glad I did it was really enjoyable. The theme was circles and curves and my swap partner was Norine at Five baht elephant. This is what I sent her.

Now the best bit, this is what she sent me yay.

I'm so lucky, the quilt is beautiful, I love the butterfly and Norine's quilting is perfect, Norine even added some embroidery thread and some tracing paper. Thank you so much Norine I love it.

I'm still here....honest.

It's been so busy here, all for good reasons, I love being busy. Unfortunately it doesn't leave much time for sewing and crafting, definitely a winter sport for me I'm afraid. I'm still doing a little stitching in the evenings, mostly hand stitching because I find it so relaxing and enjoyable. This is taken from Scandinavian stitches ( still my favourite sewing book ).

I think it will be a lavender bag once finished. I love the colour and once again beautiful linen, my stitching isn't perfect but it's handmade so thats fine. 

Is anyone else struggling to drag themselves in from the garden to do crafty things and.....ahem.....house work ?

More sewing. Now it's lighter in the evenings I can sit and do cutting and stitching when the house is quiet...cup of tea stitching and Springwatch does it get any better than that ( my life is so exciting ). Glasses case number two.
